Job Summary

We are actively seeking organized, detail-oriented, and highly responsible individuals to join our backroom team. As a Receiving Associate, you will be trained to manage vendor deliveries, break down incoming freight, and maintain the safety of the receiving dock. You will serve as the operational backbone, delivering the signature efficiency that sets Trader Joe's apart in the grocery industry. This is an active, structured role perfect for those who love administrative logistics mixed with heavy lifting.

Comprehensive Responsibilities

• Vendor Receiving: Check in daily local vendors and massive warehouse deliveries, verifying physical drop-offs against invoices and delivery manifests.
• Dock Management: Maintain an impeccably clean and safe receiving dock, ensuring pallets are stored correctly and emergency exits remain completely unobstructed.
• Freight Breakdown: De-palletize incoming shipments, organizing boxes onto rolling flatbeds for the shelf stocking team to take to the sales floor.
• System Auditing: Utilize handheld scanners to verify that incoming deliveries match the store's ordering expectations and report any missing items.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced backroom environment and safely lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
